Galvanized plate and stainless steel plate which is more wear-resistant?
Galvanized sheet refers to a thin sheet coated with a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel sheet, mainly used for anti-corrosion and decoration; stainless steel sheet is a steel sheet with corrosion resistance, which is composed of iron, chromium, nickel and other elements.

Comparison of wear resistance of galvanized sheets and stainless steel sheets

1. Hardness

Galvanized sheets have lower hardness, while stainless steel sheets have relatively higher hardness, which makes galvanized sheets more susceptible to scratches and wear when subjected to friction and wear.

2. Corrosion resistance

When galvanized sheets are corroded by the environment, the zinc material on the outer surface will gradually be corroded, causing the galvanized layer to fail. Stainless steel plates have better corrosion resistance and can be used stably for a long time in harsh environments.

3. Strength

Compared with galvanized sheets, stainless steel sheets have higher strength, better mechanical properties such as tensile strength and yield strength, and can be more durable under friction and wear.

Based on the above comparison, stainless steel plates are better than galvanized plates in terms of wear resistance. However, stainless steel plates are relatively more expensive, and galvanized plates are more affordable. Therefore, depending on specific usage scenarios and needs, choosing which material to use requires comprehensive consideration of many factors.
